Computer Software
We begin by assessing your needs and helping you choose the most appropriate software.  We are sometimes able to obtain software, printed forms, and laser checks at wholesale prices and pass these cost savings onto you!  We will work as closely with you as you wish and can provide installation and training services as needed.  We also provide support.  This means helping you through problems resulting from improper transfer or recording of transactions, to dealing with software failure and “bugs.”

Managerial Accounting
What management information do you desire from your accounting system?  We will work with you to make this determination and develop a chart of accounts that allows for the accumulation of this data on a day-to-day basis.  We will assist you in setting up monthly accrual and deferral entries that properly match income and expenses for decision making, and designing reports to get the information to management in a useful format.

Breakeven Analysis
Go beyond the simple economic model of a single product!  We calculate the daily, weekly, and monthly sales that a store, service organization, or manufacturer needs to cover expenses.  The calculation includes seasonal variations when there is a seasonally related trend.  A model is developed that allows for limited “what if” questions to be answered.  This service includes determining the best sales promotions incentive to offer and the likely consequence of the promotion (i.e. 50% off versus buy-one-get-one-free decisions).

Product/Service Costing
Are your prices/fees competitive?  We identify competitor charges so informed pricing decisions can be made.  For tangible products we work with you to determine all of the components, including labor, that go into production or assembly.  We look at the efficiency of the labor and alternatives.  We question the use of certain suppliers, consider the “just in time” inventory possibility, and the quality of the materials used.  We look for waste and try to determine if there is some value of byproduct possibility.  For services, we work on capturing the productivity of each individual.  This is combined with the resources needed for the employee to perform his/her job and the compensation provided.  Time studies are used and time tracing is implemented.

System Review
How are tasks completed in your organization?  Each process, from letter writing to accounting systems, is included in this service.  We follow each step in the selected process from its initiation to its end, accumulating documents and writing a narrative of the procedures.  The efficiency of the system, from the supplies used to the possible duplication of tasks, is evaluated and recommendations are made.

System Flowcharts
Often Part 2 of the System Review procedure, flowcharting produces a picture of how information actually flows from position to position within the business.  The end product is a procedural manual that contains both a picture and a narrative of how the targeted system needs to work.  Training of the staff affected and follow-up on the system performance can be provided, if needed.

Financial Statement Preparation
Need a loan?  Looking for investors?  Having a set of financial statements is your first step.  Currently there are three classifications of financial statements: compilations, reviews, and audits.  Our philosophy is to perform the work necessary to prepare the least expensive financial statement that is needed to meet the user’s needs.
